Biography
Kathryn Adams (she/her/hers) is a Principal Graphic and UX Designer and design educator with more than 20 years of experience crafting thoughtful, research-driven visual and digital experiences. She holds a Master of Arts in Interactive Design from the Savannah College of Art & Design and brings extensive industry expertise to her teaching at Southern New Hampshire University and National University, where she mentors students in brand consistency, visual communication, and human-centered design. Kathryn's professional work spans healthcare, finance, education, and service-based industries, with leadership roles at organizations such as The Vanguard Group, HealthEquity, and ECRI. Her design practice focuses on translating complex ideas into clear, accessible experiences — from enterprise UX systems and design systems to brand identity and digital communications. She is skilled in user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and interface design, and she is strongly committed to accessibility and WCAG compliance. In addition to her industry work, Kathryn runs her own design practice and is passionate about advocating for users and creating frictionless, human-centered interactions. She is based in the Greater Philadelphia area and brings both practitioner insight and professional mentorship to every course she teaches.
