Biography
Dr. R. Kevin McClean is a graduate of King's College, Pennsylvania, where he received a B.A. in History. He was granted an MBA by St. John's University, New York, and a Doctor of Professional Studies degree by Pace University, New York. Awards include memberships in Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society for collegiate schools of business; Omicron Delta Epsilon, international honor society in economics; and Delta Mu Delta, international honor society for business administration. Dr. McClean brings over 30 years of industry experience to his classroom, with significant experience and expertise in services marketing, customer service, performance measurement, electric energy deregulation, cost analysis, and financial controls. As Professor of Marketing, Dr. McClean teaches a variety of marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including Solutions Based Relationship Management and Branding, and Customer Value and Service Excellence. He currently serves as a Senior Doctoral Adjunct Chair in the College of Doctoral Studies. He was moderator of the business honors society, the Eta Chi Chapter of Delta Mu Delta, and the chair of the Program Standards and Evaluation committee for the College. He also served as the representative on the University's Rank and Tenure Review and Staff Development committees, and as a member of the American Marketing Association. Dr. McClean has spoken extensively at the national level regarding electric and gas industry deregulation and has presented to industry forums and conferences regarding marketing management, project management, and customer service, and was a contributor to an award-winning compendium on leadership challenges. He had served as the moderator of both an annual honors symposium that addresses topics important to the university and to the Colangelo College of Business (e.g., ethics, stewardship, servant leadership), and an annual research colloquium. The latter is now held in his name as the Kevin McClean Research Colloquium
