Lauren Barlow, MSPSY, holds a Master of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology from Grand Canyon University and currently serves as an adjunct instructor at GCU, teaching courses in psychology, forensic psychology, criminal behavior, psychopathology, and offender rehabilitation. She is also licensed as a Social Services Worker through the Utah Department of Commerce, Division of Professional Licensing. Her professional background includes experience with the Utah Department of Health and Human Services in both Adult Protective Services and the Office of Background Checks and Licensing. She has also worked in nonprofit and educational settings serving individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment, justice-involved populations, and adolescents. In addition to her work in psychology, social services, and education, Lauren has professional experience as a technical writer, developing clear and accessible documentation and translating complex information for varied audiences. Her combined experience in higher education, technical communication, social services, behavioral health, and public-sector programs informs her academic and professional interests in forensic psychology and the intersection of psychology, criminal justice, and human services.
