Biography
RIchard Bauder is an accomplished AI/ML researcher, practitioner, and educator with extensive experience applying advanced data science to real-world challenges in government, industry, and academia. His expertise spans predictive modeling, anomaly detection, NLP, clustering, and generative AI, with strong proficiency in Python, R, and cloud-native platforms. He has led large-scale AI/ML initiatives for the U.S. Marine Corps’ IT modernization, authoring the first AI Test & Evaluation strategy and establishing portfolio-wide data governance frameworks. In the energy sector, he directed data science teams at NextEra Energy, delivering multimillion-dollar business value through models that optimized resource allocation, enhanced customer analytics, and improved operational efficiency. As an adjunct professor, he has taught graduate courses in data science and AI at GCU and FAU while contributing to curriculum development in advanced machine learning.
