Biography
With over six years of experience as the Chief Information Security Officer at the Center for Internet Security, I am passionate about aligning enterprise risk management, internal controls, and privacy compliance across all organizational business units. I have successfully led the implementation of the CIS control framework and audit, the data protection officer role, the information security documentation framework, and the internal vulnerability management program, using best practices and standards such as NIST RMF, COSO ERM, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and SOC 2.
I also leverage my extensive education and credentials, including master's degrees in digital forensics, data science, and forensic psychology, and certifications in CISA, CRISC, and CGEIT, to contribute to the cybersecurity community as an adjunct professor, a board risk advisor, and a podcast host. I enjoy teaching courses on various topics, such as big data programming, cyber warfare, penetration testing, and security policy management, at The College of Saint Rose and Grand Canyon University. I also advise and support various boards and organizations on cybersecurity risk and governance issues and host a podcast that features interviews with cybersecurity experts and leaders.
