Biography
As a professional nurse, I am so proud of the contributions I have made to the populations I have served over the 50 years of nursing and to the profession, including teaching for Grand Canyon University as an adjunct faculty for 17 years. I was so lucky to walk in the commencement for Arizona State University's golden reunion in May and seeing colleagues who I graduated with. My career has spanned decades and my experience includes direct patient care in my earlier years, gradual transition of leadership roles within the profession in local health care facilities, gradual advancement of my professional education, and toward the end of my full time work as a nurse specializing in regulatory and compliance as a team member for the Banner Health Regulatory Team. During my tenure as an adjunct faculty, I keep my knowledge current in the profession by researching information to supplement my contributions in the classroom. I also volunteer to serve on the City of Chandler boards for workman's compensation and health care. I am currently the chair of one of these boards.
