Biography
My professional background spans education, instructional leadership, professional learning, consulting, and instructional design. I began my career as a secondary English and literacy educator and have since served in a variety of roles, including instructional coach, middle and high school administrator, and education and learning consultant. These experiences have allowed me to work alongside students, educators, school and district leaders, and other professionals to strengthen instruction, develop leadership capacity, and create meaningful learning experiences.
Throughout my career, I have been especially interested in the connection between learning, leadership, and practice. I have designed and facilitated professional learning, coached educators and leaders, supported organizational and school-based improvement efforts, and developed learning experiences for both educational and professional audiences. My work in instructional design has further expanded this focus through the development of engaging, practical learning experiences that incorporate adult learning principles, technology, scenario-based learning, and opportunities for reflection and application.
I value learning environments that encourage curiosity, thoughtful reflection, collaboration, and continuous growth. As an educator, I believe effective teaching goes beyond sharing information; it involves helping learners make meaningful connections, apply new knowledge, develop confidence, and recognize how their learning can influence the people and communities they serve.
Across my work, I remain committed to supporting the growth and development of educators and leaders and to creating learning experiences that are relevant, engaging, and connected to real-world practice.
