What Scholarships are Available for International Students?
International students have access to a variety of scholarship opportunities designed to make earning a degree at GCU more affordable. These scholarships may be based on academic achievement, leadership, community involvement or specific program eligibility. By exploring the options below, international students can find financial support that can help reduce tuition costs and support their educational goals while studying abroad.
This accelerator program gives you the opportunity to save money by earning your bachelor’s degree in as few as three years by adding summer classes. Additionally, eligible students may qualify for no-cost summer housing, helping you save even more as you complete your bachelor’s.
This scholarship is a renewable award per academic year for registered DACA or DACA-eligible students. Selected recipients must be fully admissible to Grand Canyon University. GCU has agreed to cover all/any remaining tuition and fees, constituting a full-tuition scholarship.(See disclaimer 1)
This scholarship is only available for traditional, undergraduate on-campus students.Â
The Sheila and Mark Ingram Honors College Academic Excellence and Servant Leadership scholarship may be awarded in varying amounts, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 per academic year. Multiple awards are available. This scholarship is stackable on top of other GCU-funded institutional aid. This scholarship is only available to traditional, undergraduate, on-campus students.

Grand Canyon University Award
This award offers $250 to out-of-state new students who graduate from one of GCU's participating high schools with an unweighted GPA of 2.5, an ACT score of 19 or higher or an SAT of 1000 or higher. Students attending one of the Maricopa County Community College campuses must have earned an associate degree or equivalent for the award. This award is renewable annually for fall and spring semesters for up to eight semesters.
This award cannot be combined with the Canyon Christian Schools Consortium Award. This scholarship is only available for traditional, undergraduate on-campus students.
Lope Life Housing Award
The Lope Life Housing Award is a renewable scholarship for traditional, on-campus undergraduate students who meet enrollment and housing deadlines, helping offset tuition and housing costs while living on campus.
This award provides the following scholarship per academic year for traditional undergraduate on-campus students who are accepted and have met the deadlines below to register for classes and secure housing. This award is renewable for up to eight semesters as long as award eligibility is maintained and the student remains admissible and continues to live on campus. The Lope Life Housing Award will be applied to tuition and fees, and any excess will be applied to housing. Register for classes and secure your housing room assignment by Aug. 15, 2026, to secure your award.

Canyon Christian Schools Consortium (CCSC)
The Canyon Christian Schools Consortium (CCSC) is a GCU alliance program that offers scholarships and tuition savings to students graduating from participating Christian high schools, helping make their transition to GCU more affordable.
Both awards are renewable annually for fall and spring, up to eight semesters. This award requires the student to maintain continuous full-time enrollment, attend a campus worship service weekly, and meet the 40-hour service requirement each academic year. Students who fail to meet the 40-hour service requirement may have their scholarship revoked. GCU determines where each student serves to meet the requirement. These awards cannot be combined with the Grand Canyon University Award. This scholarship is subject to the Grand Canyon University CAP policy and cannot exceed your charges.
If you are a resident assistant, life leader, or participating in a scholarship program that also reduces any on-campus housing cost, your CCSC scholarship will be reduced by $1,000. This $1,000 reduction will fulfill a CCSC recipient’s 40-hour service requirement for the academic year in which the reduction occurs.

Canyon Christian Schools Consortium Award Options
CCSC Award 21-23
New students who are at least 21 but under the age of 23 are eligible for a reduced CCSC Award. To qualify, students must have graduated from a CCSC school prior to the contract signing date and they must start a program of study prior to the age of 23. The CCSC 21-23 scholarship awards $3,000 per academic year to on-campus students and $1,000 per academic year to off-campus students who are admissible and attended all four years at their CCSC school.

The amount of your award is dependent upon the total number of semesters you successfully completed at your participating CCSC high school.
2026-27 International Student Scholarship Requirements
- If student is admitted based on ACT or SAT, student needs a minimum unweighted high school GPA of 2.5 to be awarded.

2025-26 International Student Scholarship Requirements1
- Scholarships may be awarded based on sixth semester transcripts. At the time in which final official transcripts are received, GCU reserves the right to rescind or modify the scholarship if it is determined that eligibility was not achieved. GCU reserves the right to decline scholarship awards for any reason. If a student does not meet the minimum renewal criteria, their scholarship will be forfeited. GCU reserves the right to change scholarship awards at any time without notice. Prices based on 2025-26 rate and are subject to change.

How Can You Apply for International Scholarships at GCU?
International Student Scholarships may be available to you if you are an international student who is fully admissible and attending GCU with an F-1 Visa.
To apply for International Student Scholarships, you must:
Submit unofficial transcripts
Submit unofficial transcripts for all institutions attended since high school. If you did not attend another college or university, you must provide your high school transcript. SAT and/or ACT test scores can be used to apply for these scholarships if you have a 2.5 or higher unweighted high school GPA. Students who have six or more attempted college credits can use their cumulative college transfer GPA to qualify for academic scholarships.
Provide the official transcripts
Upon completion of final terms at all institutions, provide the official transcripts to GCU. For scholarship adjustment considerations, submit unofficial transcripts, due no later than two weeks prior to the start of the term. All official transcripts are due by day 21 of the semester to lock in your scholarship award.
Maintain continuous full-time enrollment
Once enrolled as a traditional, undergraduate student and attending classes on GCU’s main campus, you must maintain continuous full-time enrollment at GCU and adhere to the scholarship program requirements for renewal.
