North Coast Church (Calif.) pastor Chris Brown took the stage at Grand Canyon University for Monday’s Chapel service.
He used description and imagery to paint a picture of the battle scene between the Philistines and the Israelites, then warned against using God as a genie. Instead, we should actually worship Him because He is worthy.
“God says, ‘Look, my promises have always been on an if-then statement’” Chris said. “But I’ve been taught a Christianity that, because I said a prayer, I have the right to ask … no, demand that God from heaven come in and fix my life.”
