Dr. Thompson is a native of Texas. She received a BS in Computer Science from Angelo State University, and a ThM and PhD in New Testament studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. Her research interests focus on the history and culture of the first-century Mediterranean world and how that informs our understanding of the NT texts. She enjoys cheering on the Dallas Mavericks and Cowboys, hiking, and snow skiing.
