Athletic coaches work in a wide range of settings, and the workload and pay for these positions can vary. As an athletic coach, you may be responsible for instructing students, providing physical training, mentoring athletes and overseeing sports teams. Knowledge of the relative sport is important for being effective as an athletic coach.
