Grand Canyon University actively promotes critical thinking on educational issues among its students and faculty. Within the GCU College of Education, students and faculty collaborate to conduct research and publish findings that can benefit a multitude of disciplines and departments. Through achievements in research, GCU has promoted new developments in contemporary education while simultaneously expanding our horizons toward future research and educational development initiatives.
Research Pillars
GCU’s research pillars embody a Christ-centered vision of scholarship that connects inquiry with meaningful impact. Our approach to educational scholarship that values discovery, integration, application and teaching, and is organized around three strategic pillars at GCU: Teaching and Learning Innovation, Disciplinary Research and Christian Character Research. These pillars bring together the College of Education’s faculty, students and partners to promote applied and integrative scholarship, enhancing academic excellence, deepening personal formation and addressing practical challenges.
Academic Journals
GCU publishes and supports a diverse collection of peer-reviewed academic journals that enhance scholarly dialogue across disciplines. These educational publications prioritize rigorous research, faculty and student mentorship and the dissemination of knowledge to the broader academic community.
