Environmental Remediation -
Graduates of Grand Canyon University’s Bachelor of Environmental Science with an emphasis in Environmental Chemistry program will be able to apply their skills and knowledge related to environmental science to remediation and provide a comprehensive understanding to stakeholders as they take a balanced approach to environmental impacts.

• Apply laboratory and field techniques used in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data in environmental contexts.
• Design a sustainable and economically-viable environmental remediation plan and communicate technical documentation of remediation findings and outcomes.
• Interpret epidemiologic research, findings, and studies to identify major environmental risks.
• Assess the physiochemical properties of contaminants and the nature of environmental samples to track contaminants to their source.
• Explain the mechanisms by which environmental agents adversely affect human health.
• Design a comprehensive and feasible remediation action plan for appropriate stakeholders.
