Diplomacy is the mechanism through which nations conduct negotiations and cultivate relations. It strives to open dialogue, nurture strong relationships and create a collaborative framework for nations to work together. There are many core principles to consider when studying international relations. For example, the field emphasizes globalization and interdependence. No country exists in a complete vacuum; all nations are dependent on each other to some degree, thanks to their economic, cultural and political ties and shared global challenges.
