Even though its fall, it’s always warm enough outside to justify getting ice cream with your friends. Phoenix is full of awesome ice cream shops all over the Valley, especially near Grand Canyon University. So if you and your GCU friends are looking for something to do this weekend, think about heading out to try one of these awesome places!

1. Churn

If you are looking for a blast from the past, head to Churn. This place has an adorable retro vibe and lots of patio seating. Their menu features milkshakes, floats and sundaes like the “Fat Elvis” and the “Kitchen Sink”. Their flavors rotate daily, so there are new things to try every time you go! This place also sells nostalgic candy, baked goods and coffee.

5. Zoyo

Zoyo has some of the best frozen yogurt. While there are many locations, one is located right in the middle of GCU’s campus! With a rotating menu, there are always new flavors and toppings to try. Choose what flavor you like, or mix them together and add however many toppings you want! If you are a GCU student, you can use your dining dollars at our campus location.
