With Christmas coming up fast, it’s time to start looking for fun and festive gifts for all of the special people in your life. There are seemingly thousands of options for thoughtful presents for family, friends and white elephant and secret Santa parties, and this year, GCU is here to help. Here are some ideas for unique and festive gifts this holiday season!

Visit the Lopes Shop

You don’t have to be on campus to peruse the holiday gift offerings at our very own Lopes Shop – much of our gear is also available online. If you’re thinking apparel, there are dozens of different options from shirts and hoodies to hats and pants, all perfect for showing off some school spirit. Other stand-out options include ties, Christmas ornaments, keychains, blankets and journals. For an even more personalized present, check out the family gift section, with mugs, ornaments, shirts and more for the parents, grandparents and pets of proud GCU students!

Drop By Grand Canyon Beverage Company

For the coffee-lovers in your life, give the gift of caffeine this holiday season with some GCBC K-cups. These single-serving cups let you brew your favorite drink even when you’re miles away from campus. 50-packs of Camelback Sunrise cups are available for purchase at any GCBC on campus, in addition to 12-ounce bags of Antelope Reserve Coffee beans. If your loved ones don’t drink coffee, don’t despair – instead try wrapping up a case of Stampede, GCU’s signature energy drink, also available at GCBC.

Shop on a Budget

If you’re working on a college student’s budget, there are plenty of inexpensive gift choices that still show some personality. Handmade presents are often the most memorable since you took the time to make them yourself with another person in mind. Try whipping up a batch of cookies or brownies. Not only are they less expensive than many other gifts, but they’re definitely more delicious. Finding out your friend or family member’s favorite flavor is a surefire way to make the tasty treats all the more special.

Other cheaper gift ideas include a good book. Many different books can be found online for less than $10. Look for one that reminds you of the person and write them a personalized note to accompany it. For a more interactive gift, find a card game or inexpensive board game. After all of the presents are unwrapped, everyone can join in on the fun and play a few rounds!
