BS in Computer Engineering
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering was developed with industry guidance to address the broad, foundational knowledge and skills required to be contributors as architectural and engineering managers, computer network architects, database architects, software developers, software quality assurance analysts and testers and computer hardware engineers. This program teaches topics and assesses competency in circuits, analog and digital electronics, data structures, algorithms and numerical recipes, embedded systems, assembly language, signal processing, system architecture, computer design and control systems. This program integrates math, chemistry, physics and biology and emphasizes critical thinking, practical application and project management experience. In addition, students can develop valuable workplace skills, including effective communication, teamwork, initiative, strong work ethic, analytical skills, adaptability and self-confidence. Students can learn professional and ethical practices associated with engineering through the lens of the University’s Christian worldview.
