Analytic Foundations for Practice -
Graduates of Grand Canyon University's Doctor of Nursing Practice with an Emphasis in Educational Leadership program analyze, evaluate, and disseminate findings from evidence-based practice and research to improve clinical practice, health care delivery methods, and patient outcomes.

• Apply analytic methods to critically appraise existing literature and other evidence to identify and implement health care best practices.
• Design and implement processes/strategies that evaluate outcomes of practice, practice patterns, and systems of care for individual, aggregate, and populations against national benchmarks.
• Design, direct, and evaluate quality improvement methodologies to promote safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care.
• Disseminate and apply relevant findings from evidence-based practice and research to enhance practice guidelines and enrich practice leading to improved healthcare outcomes.

Graduates of Grand Canyon University's Doctor of Nursing Practice with an Emphasis in Educational Leadership program apply best practices in instruction, curriculum design, and educational leadership to develop, evaluate, and improve nursing education programs that meet the needs of students, the institution, and industry stakeholders.

• Apply instructional strategies grounded in evidence-based practice and learning theory that meet the unique needs of learners, contribute to a positive learning environment, and foster critical thinking within various learning environments.
• Design assessments to evaluate leaner performance and analyze performance data to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
• Employ methods of curriculum design and development to support and improve learner and nursing program performance.
• Adopt the professional role of the academic nurse educator through systematic self-reflection, reflective teaching practice, pursuing service opportunities, and engaging as a scholar in the discipline.
