What Is an ITIL Certification?

ITIL(See disclaimer ®) stands for “Information Technology Infrastructure Library” certification. This certification verifies knowledge of service management practices used to plan, deliver and support information technology services

ITIL is widely recognized across the IT industry as a framework for managing technology services and improving operational processes and reliability. Organizations use ITIL guidance to help structure service workflows, coordinate IT teams and maintain consistent technology support.(See disclaimer 1)

The ITIL certification path includes several levels that introduce service management concepts and build a deeper understanding of service strategy, operations and continual improvement.
