An expert in instructional technology/design, adult learning/leadership, project management, and eLearning. Research interests include qualitative, design/development case study, phenomenology, and the Nominal Group Technique (NGT), I am a certified Dale Carnegie facilitator and a Quality Matters Peer Reviewer. My career includes executive director at Columbia Teachers College starting the Columbia Coaching Certification and the first online master’s degree; an eBusiness/eLearning executive at IBM delivering the first global asynchronous learning program to 10,000 leaders; and a VP of Ernst & Young's Intellinex/eLearning Practice implementing blended learning solutions for over 210,000 global employees. I am a certified IBM consultant and a confirmed IBM principal. I am a full-time full professor at National University specializing in instructional technology, media, and design as well as qualitative research. An adjunct professor at Grand Canyon University on the SDA 6 team. I am published in peer-reviewed journals and received the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) cutting edge, top ten papers award. Board member The Qualitative Report Editorial Board. #1 Education School, Higher Education Experience: Hired as a creative and experienced academic entrepreneur to blend Teachers College Columbia University’s (TC) traditional approach with digital technology and to build the educational outreach, lifelong learning and continuing education units within the College. Responsible for 200+ budgets, business plan development, overall program management, program development strategy, program implementation, marketing, and sales. In collaboration with faculty and external partners, held over 200 conferences, institutes, courses, seminars, and events. Events were on campus, online and blended formats. Launched the first online master’s degree at TC. Revenues grew by 41% with Net Revenues increasing by 46%. Implemented Client Relationship Management (CRM) system using Salesforce.com for management of grant and gift opportunities and for direct and email marketing. Secured major grants and gifts from organizations and individual donors. Lead instructional designer for the National Education Association’s Leader 2 Leader program through eCoreXperience. Quality Matters Certified Peer Reviewer. Constructivist Communications and Instructional Strategies for Adult Learning through R2D2/3CPO model as a research agenda. Editorial Board Member (Fall, 2017-Present) for The Qualitative Report Editorial Board. The Qualitative Report (ISSN 1052-0147) is a peer-reviewed, on-line monthly journal devoted to writing and discussion of and about qualitative, critical, action, and collaborative inquiry and research. The Qualitative Report, the oldest multidisciplinary qualitative journal in the world, serves as a forum and sounding board for researchers, scholars, practitioners, and other reflective-minded individuals who are passionate about ideas, methods, and analyses permeating qualitative, action, collaborative, and critical study. Review 6-7 manuscripts per year.
