Adjunct Faculty
Biography
I possess my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Walden University. I have taught undergraduate courses at SUNY – ERIE Community College since September 2017 in the Social Sciences Department, teaching a variety of psychology courses. I am teaching online courses at Grand Canyon University in the Master’s in Psychology program as well as the undergraduate program. Additionally, I teach at Southern New Hampshire University in their Undergraduate Psychology program of which I am approved to teach many courses due to my education and experience. At this time, I am also teaching online courses for Hilbert College in their psychology program, as well as designing, developing, and teaching research and statistics courses. As you can see, I have a variety of university and Community college teaching experiences, including a vast range of courses. In my teaching experience, I have used many OERs and LMS, including Blackboard, and am well advanced in online and seated classrooms. I also hold 20 years of experience in the field of psychology, social work, and Human Services. My professional history includes positions such as a clinical psychologist (limited permit) for CHE Behavioral Health, a consulting agency servicing nursing home patients’ psychological needs. My resume includes additional professional experiences. My responsibilities as a supervised clinical psychologist (limited permit) provided me with the clinical experiences and knowledge that I can pass on to students to increase their success throughout their education and in the field. As a supervised clinical psychologist, my responsibilities included a significant amount of assessment skills, applying psychology theories and evidence-based practice in the geriatric field. Throughout my teaching experience, thus far, and my doctoral education, I have gained the knowledge and skills in the field of psychology and research that would allow me to be successful in not only teaching at any level but also providing an advanced level of experience in course development and review. My main goal is to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance and further their career goals.
