Biography
Dr. Magen Branham serves as the Psychology Department Chair and leads the EPIC Lab in the Canyon Emerging Scholars Program. She is passionate about conducting research and providing research experiences for undergraduate students. Current Research Projects: 1. Athletic Identity, Stress, and Religiosity: Examines the relationships between athletic identity, stress levels, and religiosity to understand how these elements interplay and affect individual identity 2. Awe, Curiosity, and Motivation in College Students: Investigates how experiences of awe and levels of curiosity are related to motivation among college students 3. Awe, Mindfulness, and Academic Mindfulness: Investigates the relationships between awe, mindfulness, and academic mindfulness in college students Courses Taught: PSY 380 – Introduction to Probability and Statistics PSY 452 – Experimental Psychology PSY 260 – Introduction to Research and Ethics
