Biography
As the Program Chair for the Doctor of Business Administration Program, Dr. Berman re-engineered the program to focus on corporate innovation, a unique perspective that he acquired while leading new product development at IBM and SAP. His research interests include corporate innovation, institutional effectiveness, data analytics and research processes. He has published in academic journals and has presented in multiple academic confereneces. He is a dissertation chair and teaches innovation, leadership and data analytics. Dr. Berman was previously the Associate Dean for the College of Doctoral Studies where he was responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of long-term strategies that enhance the effectiveness of Doctoral Education at Grand Canyon University. Dr. Berman established the college’s yearly and longitudinal assessment process. He also initiated the creation of the university’s first IRB system, designed and implemented the college’s Doctoral Community Network ™, introduced and deployed Zoom video conferencing, instituted metrics-based decision making, and led the expanded development of the doctoral research core curriculum.
