Sheila Damiani

Biography
Dr. Sheila Damiani joined Grand Canyon University in 2012 and has held 2 positions during her tenure at GCU. Currently, as a faculty chair for the College of Education online full-time faculty, Dr. Damiani works closely with the online faculty, leadership, and additional stakeholders within the college and university. Dr. Damiani maintains connections within the current field of education stakeholders as well as continues to develop her craft of leading and teaching through professional development and continuing education. Before GCU, Dr. Damiani taught in the J.O. Combs school district, in the Southeast valley. She worked with students ranging from early childhood through 6th-grade social studies. Her B.A. in Elementary Education was completed at Arizona State University. She earned her M.Ed in Educational Leadership through Northern Arizona University and her Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Higher Education from Grand Canyon University. Dr. Damiani continues to stay abreast of current trends in education through scholarly work. She has presented at conferences on a variety of educational topics but enjoys speaking on behalf of online education.
