Biography
I have been a mathematics instructor for quite some time. I have taught at a variety of levels from junior high through and including undergraduate courses. I earned both my Master's and doctoral degrees online, allowing me to leave the physical classroom and transition to administration. I started working in the online environment in 2001 when I moved to Arizona to chair the Mathematics Department of an online Christian high school. At the online Christian school, I also piloted a means to deliver standardized achievement testing to over 4,000 students spread across all 50 states and 40 additional countries. It was, at the time, a ground-breaking technological feat. Today, such things are commonplace. It has been interesting to watch the evolution of the online environment from its humble beginnings to where we are today. The advances in available tools such as video conferencing and screen casting have made the online environment a much richer environment for learning. Because of my innovative work at the Christian school and my recent co-authoring of a paper on corporate entrepreneurship and innovation, I now teach in the Doctor of Business Administration program specifically in the emphasis in Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship.
