Biography
Professor Yuri Bonilla is an Adjunct Faculty- Online Instructor who primarily teaches graduate-level Health Informatics courses within Grand Canyon University's College of Nursing and Health Care Professions. In addition, she has experience working as a public health informatics professional in governmental public health. Professor Bonilla earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics degree from Arizona State University and concurrent Bachelor of Science in Biology and Forensic Science degrees from Grand Canyon University. Also, Professor Bonilla earned earned Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in General Studies degrees from Phoenix College, the place where she started her higher education journey. Professor Bonilla's professional interests include data modernization efforts in public health, health informatics, data science, data engineering, project management with a focus in health informatics, bioinformatics, and health informatics education.
