Finding Tatum’s Purpose: Easter and My Brother’s Baptism

Posted on May 10, 2017  in  [ GCU Experience ]

Easter is always a very special time. Not simply because I get to spend time it with my family, but also because I get to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. It was also a particularly special Easter season because my little brother, Caleb, was baptized. It was so amazing to be able to watch my little brother move into the next chapter of his journey with God. I feel especially blessed to have been able to have shared that moment with my family. I cannot wait to see how Christ moves in his life.

After my brother was baptized, Easter was right around the corner. My family and I got up early on Easter morning and went to church together – we even got to ride a golf cart to the church building! After church was over we decided to take a nice picture together while everyone was dressed up, which ended up taking a lot longer than we expected. It was hard to take a picture, selfie style, with all five of us crammed together. Eventually though, we got the picture taken and we were able to change into more comfortable clothes for our annual family Easter party.

The party was at my aunt’s house and once we got there we were able to enjoy time with all of our family.  We relaxed outside, had an Easter egg hunt and ate lots and lots of food. It was nice to be able to celebrate Easter with my entire family and enjoy the weather in Arizona before it gets too hot during the summer.

Follow my journey during my time at Grand Canyon University. I will be blogging and creating videos to help you see what it’s like to attend college here.
