Transfer Credits

As a military student, you have earned potential college credits through military training and experience. At GCU, our expert military university counselor can help you to determine how your credits will transfer over, as a well as project your graduation date.

Military students may transfer in up to 90 credits, including 30 credits from military training, 30 credits from alternative credit options such as the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) or Prometric DSST Exams and 30 credits from other higher education institutions. When you submit your transcripts to a military university counselor, you will receive the following information:

• Review of your Joint Services Transcript or CCAF to see which military experiences and training correspond to college credits
• Review any previous college coursework you have completed
• Your anticipated graduation date
• Which classes will transfer to GCU
• Additional classes you will need to graduate
