At GCU, students can join the Student Nurses Association (SNA), allowing them to become part of a group of students who are passionate about nursing and active members in their school and community. The SNA greatly values service and promotes professionalism and leadership through “Keys for Success,” including leadership training, participating in community events, attending guest speaker broadcasts, training, networking, mentorship, resume building and creating relationships with peers.
The SNA at GCU is connected to the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA), whose mission is to prepare students to display professionalism through leadership and involvement in the organization. In addition, the GCU SNA is also affiliated with the Arizona State Nurses’ Association, which gives students further opportunities to volunteer at state-hosted events and community service projects.
The opportunities made available by the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions are valuable for nursing students. By joining a nursing club at GCU, students can prepare to pursue fulfilling careers in the rapidly growing field of healthcare.
