Do you love marketing? Whether you are a high school graduate considering a bachelor’s degree in marketing or already in the program, there are many ways to get involved and make the most out of your education! Keep reading to learn about some ways to make the most of your marketing degree and prepare for a successful future.

Join a Business Club

At Grand Canyon University, there are over 70 different clubs and organizations to be involved in. Many of these clubs are divided by area of study, so they can provide you with the opportunity to connect with like-minded peers who share common goals and interests. As a business major, there are several different clubs and organizations to become a part of, including the Accounting Society, Collegiate DECA, Delta Mu Delta Honors Society, the IDEA Club, Sports Business Club, Project Management Club and Management Club.

Network with Your Classmates

The relationships you make in college can greatly benefit you while you are in school. You can form study groups and gain teamwork skills as you collaborate with others on projects. Plus, having connections in the field may open doors later down the road!

Get an Internship

Having an internship while you are in college can give you valuable experience in your field of interest. The Colangelo College of Business at Grand Canyon University aims to help you build your resume and prepare for employment as you find your purpose. So, take advantage of internship opportunities by getting involved with GCU’s internship programs!

Build Relationships with Your Professors

Your professors are knowledgeable, passionate and experienced individuals who are there to help you as you navigate your college journey! For this reason, making an effort to build relationships with your professors can benefit you in many ways. By taking advantage of your professors’ office hours, for example, you can meet with them one-on-one and ask for help on assignments or advice about the future. As you work toward graduation, they may be a great reference, too!

Try New Things

The entrepreneurial spirit is embodied across all programs at GCU, especially in the Colangelo College of Business. For example, as a marketing student, you can get involved with Canyon Angels, an organization that serves as a facilitator to filter early stage high growth investment opportunities. As a GCU student, you can participate by assisting investors in doing preliminary due diligence, allowing you to gain invaluable business experience outside of the classroom.
