How do I prepare for Grand Canyon University’s Honors College? How do I set myself apart from other high school students? What do I need to achieve to receive acceptance into the Honors College?

These might be some of the questions you are asking if you wish to join the Honors College at GCU.

I have good news! There are many ways to receive acceptance into GCU’s Honors College. Find out more by viewing the GCU Honors College requirements.

After reviewing the requirements, you might be thinking, “Seriously? I have no chance of getting in with those numbers!”

This is not entirely true – although the Honors College values your GPA and test scores, they want to know more about you. Sports, clubs and/or volunteering makes an impression; being involved in your high school can set you apart from other applicants, as well as show your leadership skills. The Honors College wants to grow leaders, who desire to make a difference in our world.

Cathleen Daly, an honors student here at GCU, has some advice for those who want to pursue the Honors College: “Being a member of the Honors College automatically sets you apart from the rest, but do not just stop there. Continue to go above and beyond through pursuing the opportunities and staying active in the honors community. Show up to events, get your name out there and be intentional in your learning – your hard work and perseverance will not go unnoticed.”

The Honors College at Grand Canyon University offers bright and ambitious students a unique and fulfilling college experience. Learn more by visiting our website or contacting us today using the Request More Information button at the top of the page.
