The Grand Canyon University Honors College provides students with many opportunities to maximize their experience. One of the aspects that comes with this are curricular requirements to ensure honors students are on track to achieve a standard of excellence.

Honors College Curricular Requirements

To remain in the Honors College, incoming freshman will need to maintain a 3.25 GPA. Along with this, they must complete 8-12 credits of honors coursework in their major area and 8-12 credits of honors general education coursework.

What Does This Mean?

If you are taking a class for honors credit, you can go to LoudCloud and check the Honors Addendum listed under Course Materials for that class. In this area you will find that a few of the assignments have slight modifications.

For example, an essay may require one additional parameter to be covered within an extended word count or a worksheet may feature two more questions to answer. Overall, it’s a relatively insignificant amount of work compared to all the benefits you gain from being in the Honors College besides this academic enrichment!

Consider enrolling in the Honors College today: honors students benefit from purposeful career planning assistance, annual international excursions, exclusive clubs and organizations, priority for course registration and select student worker positions, and the opportunity to be a part of a community of like-minded peers!
