For over 65 years, Grand Canyon University has provided a pathway to success for students by preparing them to become global citizens, critical thinkers, effective communicators and responsible leaders. Academic Advancement

Grand Canyon University’s main campus in Phoenix continues to expand and accommodate online and traditional students through new classrooms, laboratories, libraries, digital platforms and student support centers. Additional locations help full-time and evening students attend classes closer to home.

GCU holds regional, college and program-specific accreditations that speak to the quality of the university and its well-recognized degree programs. In addition, GCU offers an academically enriching Honors College for students who are interested in being challenged on an individual basis through extracurricular activities, experiential learning opportunities and one-on-one mentoring sessions.

Christian Camaraderie

Founded in 1949, Grand Canyon University is a Christian college committed to biblically rooted beliefs, values and practices. The interdenominational university embraces a missional community united in following Jesus Christ, acting as His hands and feet by sharing His love. As a missional community, GCU welcomes students, faculty and staff from all walks of life and embraces a welcoming spirit and loving attitude of service to all. The university honors God by integrating faith in all aspects of the campus, and encourages others to join in and experience GCU’s Christian worldview.

Extracurricular Excellence

GCU’s campus experience is unlike any other private Christian university. The campus is filled with extracurricular activities for students to stay active and involved. A campus favorite is the variety of intramural sports available for all students. GCU offers sand volleyball, flag football, ultimate Frisbee, soccer, basketball and more!

In addition, GCU has over 70 clubs and organizations, 22 learning communities and frequent community events to give students the opportunity to learn and bond with like-minded peers who share similar passions and academic interests.

Wellness & Well-Being

It is important for college students to maintain their health and well-being while studying and being away from home. For this reason, GCU offers a health center and multiple state-of-the-art fitness centers. The Canyon Health and Wellness Clinic provides qualified doctors to support students and their health, and a Health Shop for all wellness needs. The fitness centers feature strength and cardio equipment, free weights and fitness classes for all students to enjoy. In addition, GCU satisfies students’ hunger and dietary needs by offering a large variety of quality campus dining options.
