Across the country, whether the school is private or public, college tuition rates have risen dramatically over the past decade. According to data released last week by the College Board, the average tuition and fees for private universities have increased 26%, while public tuition and fees have increased 35% in the last 10 years. This can cause families to stress about the financial aspect of college, as education is a major priority for many of today’s students.
