Grand Canyon University has a lot to celebrate with the recent decision to extend the freeze on tuition for the 11th year in a row! Tuition for the 2019-2020 school year will remain at $16,500 and students will continue to have access to private, Christian and affordable higher education.

It’s no secret that many colleges around the country raise their tuition each year. Unlike those schools, GCU has maintained their tuition rates since 2009 to keep their students as their top priority. Tuition is the same for in-state, out-of-state and international students, allowing all kinds of students to earn their degrees with GCU.

What is Tuition Across the Country?

Across the country, whether the school is private or public, college tuition rates have risen dramatically over the past decade. According to data released last week by the College Board, the average tuition and fees for private universities have increased 26%, while public tuition and fees have increased 35% in the last 10 years. This can cause families to stress about the financial aspect of college, as education is a major priority for many of today’s students. With the financial burden of rapidly rising tuition costs, finding ways to afford college can become difficult.

What are My Opportunities at GCU?

With the price of a four-year college education still on the rise, it is a great solace to GCU students that the cost of their education is transparent and that there are opportunities to pay for college without taking out tremendous loans. GCU is proud to offer generous and renewable scholarships to help students finance their private, Christian education. Students are eligible for academic scholarships based on their GPA or test scores, with other opportunities available as well. In fact, GCU’s scholarship philosophy is designed to give students the best opportunity to earn the most money to finance their education.

GCU has kept tuition the same since 2009 to ensure that the university remains affordable to all who desire to earn a quality education from a four-year university. While other schools are raising their tuition rates, Grand Canyon University is committed to helping students earn their education without graduating in immense debt.

Grand Canyon University is a private, Christian college that strives to keep college affordable and accessible to all students. To learn more about GCU, visit our website or contact us using the Request More Information button.
