“May the LORD now show you kindness and faithfulness, and I too will show you the same favor because you have done this.” – 2 Samuel 2:6

Our world today is full of unkind people and difficult situations. Everyone is living different lives and have different stories. We all have our struggles. We should show compassion and spread love and kindness to one another daily because you never know who could need it the most. Here are some ways to spread kindness to others throughout the day.

Compliment Others

When you see someone that you think looks good, tell them. If you like your coworkers shoes, tell them. If someone makes you laugh, tell them that they are funny. Give people little compliments throughout the day, it will make them feel good and put a smile on their face. Getting and giving compliments makes people feel good about themselves, it is a confident booster.

“Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.” – Romans 15:2

Lend a Helping Hand

Whenever you see someone struggling with something, offer to lend them a hand. Whether it is carrying groceries to someone’s car or helping a coworker with their work load, they will appreciate your help. You will help to make their lives a little bit easier and they will be very grateful for it.

“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” - Hebrews 13:16

Be a Listening Ear

If someone is having a bad day or going through a tough situation, be there for them and offer to listen to their problems. Be a shoulder for them to cry on and offer your advice. Sometimes people just want to be heard and need someone who will be there to listen. Be that person for them, they will really appreciate it and you will make their bad days a little brighter.

“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” – James 1:19

Support Those Around You

Be there to support the people that mean the most to you in your life. Be there to support your friends and family in all of their important adventures and successes. Be there to celebrate them when they succeed at something and encourage them when they are hard at work to achieve their goals. Be your friends and family’s biggest cheerleader. If you support them, they will be there to support you as well.

“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” – John 15:12
