You have probably heard the expression, “Turn your passion into your career, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” At Grand Canyon University, you are provided that opportunity in an encouraging, welcoming and faith-based environment.
If you have a love for business, biology, history, science or English, you might want to consider GCU’s content degrees in secondary education.
Why Earn a Teaching Degree?
GCU offers a variety of secondary education degree options, including a BA in Theatre Education, BA in Dance Education and BA in History for Secondary Education, that allow you to major in a subject you are passionate about while still earning a career-relevant degree that allows you to teach middle school or high school students.
A secondary school teacher typically teaches a single subject, and usually works in a department with other educators who teach similar subjects. As a middle school or high school teacher, you can help students realize their potential and inspire the next generation of learners.
Demand for teachers is on the rise, particularly in Arizona, where the number of jobs is expected to increase by 15 percent between 2012 and 2022.
Why Choose GCU?
