A software developer is a technology professional who designs, builds, tests and improves software for computers, mobile devices, websites, cloud platforms and business systems.

Software developers help turn user needs and business goals into functional digital products. Their work may include writing code, fixing bugs, reviewing requirements, testing features and collaborating with product managers, designers, business leaders and software engineers.
