Applying for accreditation does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted.

The Master of Science in Athletic Training is currently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Recognized by CHEA, the CAATE assesses and recognizes excellence in athletic training. The CAATE serves to uphold high standards of education within athletic training programs in order to ultimately enhance clinical practice. Woven within their mission are the values of transparency, accountability and excellence, which serve as a foundation for accredited athletic training education programs.

The Health Information Management accreditor of Grand Canyon University is the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). The College’s accreditation for the baccalaureate degree in Health Information Management has been reaffirmed through 2030-2031. Grand Canyon University's Master of Science in Health Informatics (MS-HI) program can prepare graduates to apply health informatics theories to relevant and emerging health technology and healthcare delivery issues. The health informatics education allows students to define, assess and apply evidence-based initiatives through the application of policy, business management, nursing, medicine, information technology and information science. This mission is accomplished through a program that focuses on integrating Christ-centered Christian values and emphasizes healthcare technology and informatics solutions throughout the program.
Graduates are taught to respond to ever-changing needs by implementing innovative thinking, healthcare technology and informatics skills to address complex issues within healthcare — catalysts for human flourishing. GCU integrates the AMIA Code of Ethics into its MS-HI program, embedding these principles into student learning through competency-based assignments.
The Master of Science in Health Informatics program is in candidacy status, pending accreditation review by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).

Grand Canyon University’s immersive simulation centers for pre-licensure and accelerated tracks of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program have been granted accreditation in the area of teaching/education by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). The SSH accreditation is a peer-reviewed, customized evaluation of the simulation program. With obtaining accreditation, GCU is recognized for its expertise in simulation above and beyond domain expertise.

The baccalaureate-degree-level occupational therapy assistant program has applied for accreditation and has been granted Candidacy Status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 7501 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 510E, Bethesda, MD 20814. ACOTE’s telephone number c/o AOTA is 301.652.AOTA and its web address is acoteonline.org.
The program must have a pre-accreditation review, complete an on-site evaluation, and be granted Accreditation Status before its graduates will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapy assistant administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). In addition, all states require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NBCOT Certification Examination. Note that a felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure.
The entry-level occupational therapy master’s degree program has applied for accreditation and has been granted Candidacy Status by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 7501 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 510E Bethesda, MD 20814. The program must have a preaccreditation review, complete an on-site evaluation, and be granted Accreditation Status before its graduates will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
